World Orchid Conference – Johannisberg 2014

We have been to many World Orchid Conferences. The 2014 Johannisberg show was truly spectacular.

South Africa’s Gold Mining Industry inspired the local orchid society for their theme “GOLD AND ORCHIDS”.

Aside from all the beautiful orchids and displays, it was a first for us to see orchids made from sugar, amazing!

We traveled with R.F. Fuchs Tours, we were glad to see them getting the “Best Small Display” award.

One can only imagine how difficult it is, to ship hundreds of orchids halfway around the world for a show.
